A Community Committed to Your Wellness
My Story and Core Mission
My Slimming World journey started in February 2016 when I joined as a member. I was an emotional eater, like many, and was gaining weight what felt like week after week. My health was starting to suffer and my self esteem and confidence was at an all time low.
I joined a group in Rugeley and I really didn’t know what to expect from a slimming group. I walked in nervously and was greeted with smiles from members and then the consultant came over to me and put me at ease.
I went on to lose 5 stones in weight, my confidence grew and I felt the best I ever had!
Now it wasn’t all plain sailing, there were weeks where I didn’t get the loss I wanted, I didn’t “stick to plan” and there were weeks where I was so frustrated with myself that I could’ve easily given up. But there were plenty of weeks that I had a 2 or 3lb loss and I was happy with that.
In February 2018 I became a Slimming World Consultant myself and took over an existing group in Burntwood. I remember my first night, I don’t think I could have been any more nervous! All the members were lovely, and I had 16 new members join that night too.
I then took over a group in Rugeley and also in Lichfield. I had just been made redundant from my full time job and as I loved my Slimming World role decided to continue doing something I love.
In 2021 I took the next step and became a Team Developer to look after a team of wonderful consultants in Cannock, and then a year later aded a second team of amazing consultants in the North Wolverhampton area. As much as I love this part of my role, there is no better feeling than helping and supporting my own members to live happier, healthier and slimmer lives.
My mission is to help as many people in the Community with weight loss, supporting them through the tougher times and celebrating all the wins. I truly believe that everyone can reach their own personal goals - there is so much noise around 'quick fixes' and I can help with long-term weight loss with mindset and behaviour change therapy.

What to expect at group?
Every week in group, there’s this brilliant mix of energy, comfort, and genuine connection. People walk through the door and instantly feel part of something — the chatter starts, the laughter follows, and before long everyone’s swapping tips and sharing victories.
Your group session has that magic balance of heart and humour: members leave feeling lighter in more ways than one, armed with new ideas, a clearer mindset, and the sense that they’re not doing this alone. It’s a proper community hub — supportive, uplifting, and full of those little moments that remind people why they keep coming back week after week.
